Does anyone know where to get Domex steel from? My local stockholder has drawn a blank. A customer has asked for a trailer made from this instead of mild steel. Also, has anybody any experience of using domex?
Kind Regards,
Remlap.
obviously its best to keep stop/starts to a minimum, but when i do need to stop welding, is it best to grind back the weld at that point or just do a good overlap?
I am due to make a large diesel tank from 4mm mild steel sheet next week, and wondering if there are any tips to help ensure all the welds are diesel tight! I have got plenty of leak test spray in stock! Any tips would be appreciated,
Remlap.
Yes I agree, a lot of people don't appreciate the overheads involved. Our small business has rates of £600 per month, and insurance much the same. So the first £60 we earn each day just goes to cover those two, plus all the other costs you mention.
Sorry for my ignorance but could someone enlighten me on what these rod numbers mean ie 6013 etc, and what situation each is best suited for?
TIA Remlap.
Hi, I do a bit of ali welding and have a MIG welder set up for this. I have seen that you can get torches that pull the wire through, but they are pretty pricey. I just wondered if anyone has had any experience with these and if they thought they were worth the money,
Thanks, Remlap.
