I haven't been around on here for a long time, and was only lurking for a while before then, but as I was writing my post, I guessed you might reply as you did :D.
I don't have the time to learn the skills I'd need to take your approach, Home Assistant has been a success for me in that it's...
I pull the data from the PV, car, and house in to Home Assistant. They've done a lot of work recently on energy monitoring, and in general it's a useful platform to have.
I've found it's quite common for this sort of compressor to have a restriction in the built in isolation valve or regulator to restrict airflow, to stop the compressor running too often in normal use.
If this is the case, fitting your own regulator straight to the end of the tank will give a...
I quite like Ubiquiti's stuff. Works best with the controller, either running on something else that's always-on, or they have a hardware solution as well.
I bought some water levels from Amazon. They worked fine, once I'd drilled a hole in each end cap. They were sealed, making them completely useless as levels......

I'm thinking about making the kids something like a toylander, but with a proper chassis, suspension and drive train, or as near as I can.
The toylander is one-wheel-drive, and I think a lot of kids quads have solid rear axles, but I'd really like to find a small, usable diff, if I can.
I...
If it's an inrush issue, you'll get different results plugging the plug in with all bulbs inserted, vs. screwing one bulb in at a time.
Either way, not right for a simple lighting circuit.
A 5 W 230 V bulb should draw around 0.02 A, so even 10 of them should be drawing well under an Amp.
If a 32A MCB is tripping, something is definitely wrong.
Can you draw the circuit you have, or post some photos?
Need more info on the dimmer.
Assuming they're 230v lamps, rather than 12v, you could just wire them through a normal switch to prove to yourself that the dimmer is the issue.
As above. I think you'll regret leaving anything less than 1mm per face.
Being pragmatic, 2 mm really doesn't matter. Neither would 3 or 4 mm. Both less of an issue than a binding bracket.
A colleague has done PRINCE2 and his feedback was that there was a lot to cover, extra studying every evening, etc.
My understanding is that it's a toolbox, it gives you some ways to tackle situations. It's not magic, just another tool that can be drawn upon.
