Something similar exists in Belgium. Historic registered vehicles can only be used within a certain radius of registered address. Longer distance possible to car shows etc if you have written proof that you are an exhibitor.
Mate has solar panels to top up his caravan battery however the caravan "controller" sends him a text message if the battery is getting low such as in winter when not enough sun.
Mate, long deceased, was the sales manager of the local Vauxhall main agent and qualified for a Cresta sized car. However he oped for a Brabham HA Viva instead :)
If it's "precious" then a proper locksmith might be able to extract the broken key without dismantling otherwise, as has already been said, simply buy a new lock.
At very least I'd want to remove the body from the chassis and that alone is going to need something capable of lifting it and somewhere to store. Not something can do in my drive :)
If the chassis is 100% sound then as long as the body to chassis attachment points are also sound I can't see any problem with distortion with using a body roller. To be safe I'd make a large X between left and right door opening.
I've got the factory manual for a Range Rover Classic - it's around 3" thick ! I suspect many of the PDF copies you can get for other vehicles would be similar thickness if printed out.
Haynes did a manual for the Legacy - but might have to import from Australia...
