No belt is going to be good in these as they were never meant to have them fitted, and the seat will give no matter what belts are fitted i suppose. I can see your point but they are fitted to the manufacterers instructions so should be better than not having anything at all. They arnt there to...
These belts are the only ones available and are not long enough to mount far back on the arch, and no one would be in the seat without the rear seat locked. I know they are not ideal but as these cars never had them fitted, anything is better than not having any at all.

Mot isnt a problem, as they are fitted they are checked just the same as the rears in my discovery are. The insurance will be told, it is a normal modification so i dont think there will be any problems.

The strips were originally fitted as new, but surprisingly the morris minor shops no longer sell them. I had to get these from a vintage spares supplier in 2mtr lengths then cut and polish them.
No rear seatbelts were never fitted to any of the minors, but i thought it safer with the kids...
Had some time on the moggy again today, fitted new aluminium carpet strips in the rear, and the rear seat belts (not normal fitment but as my kids will travel in it i thought it best to put some in). Fitted one front seat and then run out of bolts to fit the other. Started fitting the carpet...

I havent done any work on the D1`s but a friend of mine has one, (i have a D2)but not that much diffrent. The most common thing to do is not to replace the sills with repair panels, but to replace them with box section. Then they also act as rock sliders. My friend has done this as he offroads...
I have a testing station just 1 mile from me that i have used ever since i can drive ( 24years ). The guy who owns it now was a mechanic back then but bought the original owner out years ago, i did work for him on and off too so i know i can trust him. He always moans at whatever car i take in...
Well as i work on my traveller out side i wrapped it up for the winter, but now we have had some nice weather i was itching to get back to it. So here are some updated pictures from the last week.
I havent cleaned the dum dum sealer from off the guttering yet, it is actually better than the...
My dad owned a place that made these, and con rods / bearing caps, and yes they were / are drop forged or made on an extremely large press, then machined. Not really a good idea to modify as it could create un-nessesary stresses and cracks.

Beautifull motor i had 5 of those at one time, 3 coupe`s and 2 saloons, rebuilt them all.
I agree with the above and if buying a spray gun now it would be a hvlp gun.

E machines were bought out by Acer i think but still remain the really low end machine, personally i wouldnt have one of them. The note book doesnt have a cd rom so if you want to put a programme on it you will need an external cd rom.
We have 5 laptops in our house 1 on xp, 1 on vista and 3...
Yes thats correct + vat + delivery, but that does not include the cross rails that go from side to side or the ladder section that goes from side to side behind the bumper.
I didnt get the doors with the job lot i got them myself, but i had a rebuilt engine and loads of new panels, including...
You are correct the original wood is Ash. The wood frame i got in a job lot of spares for £600, this was a good deal as it is £1000 normally and this frame was new. It had been purchased for a rebuild but the guy doing the work cut out too mutch metal without bracing and the body twisted. So i...
Thanks fuff66uk, I dont think my daughter knows how lucky she is. I had to buy my first car myself. I was 15 though and i paid £15 for it as it was technically a scrapper. I rebuilt it from spares i got from the breakers yard in the next street. That was also a moggy traveller, my dad used it to...
