Any help on this would also be greatly appreciated by me too, I'm in exactly the same boat. The engineering tutors at work have asked me to bring the mechanism in so that they can have a look at it and then maybe fabricate a working replacement for it. Let's hope they can come up with...
Hi Guys, I thought I'd let you know about my first experience of Arc welding. One of the Engineering lecturers at the college I work at offered to give me a quick intro lesson to Arc welding during my lunch break yesterday. I jumped at the chance and was really excited having never touched Arc...

Thanks for the info weldequip, any idea where I can buy the washer? I'm also looking for just the end adapter to step down from the regulator hose to the 4mm pipe, do you know if this is available separately or only as a hose adapter kit?
Thanks

Hi
I've bought a used CO2 Reg - BOC Sapphire 1 - and am wondering what (if any) washer it's going to need for the coupling to the CO2 bottle and the 3/8" connector to the air pipe to the MIG? Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated :)
Cheers
Russ
Hi
I'm currently living in Slough (well been here 11 years now) but used to live in South Africa. I'm learning to weld and annoying my neighbours and wife with the angle grinder - not really, I keep it down to sociable hours only :)
I'm probably going to be asking loads of questions...
Hi, I'm new here too! Looks like you've got yourself a "crossover" year bay there. I'm in the same boat, just learning to weld and also have a crossover bay - loads of 1 year only panels and parts, so it should be interesting! Good luck.
Cheers
Russ
