Dear Robert / Shenion ,
Thanks for your kind advice.
I have couple of schematics post below that can be used to control on the Primary side of the single phase 230 volt Welder. Not sure if I can use it for my welder as I need to use it on both single phase and two phase 440 volt AC. So...
Dear All,
I have a Arc Welder with 250 Amps output that can work on both single phase and two phase 7.5 KVA ( 230V / 440 V , 50 Hz ) with 250 Amps AC Output and Open Ckt voltage of about 80 Volts.
I was checking the Possibility of upgrading my old welder that use a tapped choke connected...
Hi ,
I have now checked the machine output details & I have attached for your review.I can see that the Voltage is only about 30 Volt , for 320 amps. Can you have a look & correct me if I am wrong ?But I thought that the Open circuit voltage was about 90 Volts .
So I am little bit confused...
I would say that you can go for any top brand machine in your place. But make sure you also note to check the KVA ratings ( Input Power) as this could save some of your ruining cost. Also If you get a machine with 3 Phase & with a 1 phase conversion it would be of more useful as you can use any...
Thanks Shenion ,
I will try to get some thing smiler built with my other requirements. It would be nice if you can post the missing negative power supply details when you get some time .
I have just started to build my design , not sure when I could finish this .
Will surly post it for...
I don't have a schematic for my welder yet.I got this Welding machine working recently after 30 years it was scrapped.
I had tried couple of times earlier but was lucky only this time , It worked.
:-)
I had to spend about $400 ,but worth it.
Any way could you please share the design...
Hi Shenion,
I had checked your site on this & saw your MIG machine .Could you share this circuit diagram that you designed for your MIG ?
Thanks
Regards
John
OH.... Sorry shenion , this machine has a field control unit that is standard design for this Welding machine.
I hope you can see that on this top of this machine with the ON/ Off Switch.
I am posting a regulator unit used for this field control .Using this regulator , I can regulate the...
Thanks for your valuable feedback. I will try to get some details on how to build this control Unit.
If you find any useful deatils on this Control Unit , please post this info .
So Hope that once this Control Unit is build, then I should only then get a wire feeder & the MIG torch set to...
For a usual MIG welding power source , I believe the Voltage would be about 20- 45 Volts, but this Generator welding has a Open circuit Voltage of about say 100 Volts , So I believe if I could make a control unit to do this conversion , should this solve the problem ?
Hi ,
I have a Welding Motor Generator of out put DC 320 Amps,This is now used for Stick welding .
I would like to know if I can use this Motor Generator as a Power source for MIG Welding ?
What are the additional components that are required to do this attachment to this Motor Generator...
