I have made a few packs up and they seem to solder OK - very hot iron and as quick as you can. Really need a spot welder.

This is exactly the instructions that came with my A frame conversion for the motorhome. There is even a distance in the regs that an A frame coupled vehicle is required to be able to reverse safely which is a bit iffy when you are relying on castor angle! Towing a Citigo with my Peugeot M/home...
You could always screw up a small ball of cooking foil and clamp that over the terminal. Also useful if you can't stop the earth clamp arcing when welding.
Just think, if it was'nt for climate change we would still be in the last ice age.

Just got back from MEX. Without Warco and some other firms looked really empty. Car park half empty (or half full).
Standard of models still very high. RGD had their usual big stall, but by lunchtime very quiet. My club, City of Oxford have some good exhibits
on the stand worth looking at.

It's either 70 cms ham band or PMR446. If it's 70 cms you should know enough to make or buy an aerial. If it's 446 your after, any aerial with gain is not permitted. Any directional aerial will have gain over a dipole. Go on, what's the new toy?
Looks like a very old Warco 918. I see the switch shaft for the visor safety switch that only Warco used.
For a rebuild the best manual is from the Grizzly version of the lathe. Also there is a full rebuild book on line I'll try to find it as it was a long time ago I last saw it.

If...
I think you may have SIF Bronze No 1, standard brazing rod. A silver soldering flux will not work at the temperature needed for No1. Try using a borax based flux white or blue, may even be pink now, I think SIF still do one. Flux does not usually go off in an open tin if dry. I prefer to use...
