im in the middle of a welding class and tried to get some argoshield to see the difference but couldnt as someone blew the welding booths transformer so we only had the migs on the floor and no gas spare. I didnt want to shell out for rental before making a comparision.

Has anyone bought and tried to use these intergrips on thin body work as they are intended?
they leave a 1mm gap between sheets which i have found is just too big:whistle:. even at 20 amps the lowest setting on my portamig, im finding to get spread im just melting the edges? and one else...

Im just up the road from you in Moira, ive had my 185 for a few months now but only started welding with it in earnest. I thought the wire feed was very sturdy compared to the migs ive seen before?
Anyway im still trying to get a decent weld using CO2, im definitely considering...

anyone in N.I. this might interest you that i've found a supplier filling Argon/CO2 (80%/20%) mix for £14 and NO RENTAL, you pay for the bottle (£80) and exchange it when you come back for a fill. PM me if you want details (northern ireland only)

soda blasting is commonly used on fiberglass, ive seen it used on a lot of boats and its very gentle but does an excellent job metal too. i was considering buying one
i recently had one of these made to used throwaways on my portamig 185. youll need the same set up but reversed, Weldequipe made it up for @£5 = postage, and recieved it the day after i talked to him, top bloke, top service, nuff said!
