Lol Kazakhstan is a bit out of that 25 mile range....:laughing:
But you're right if you want it, go for it! The sky is the limit ;) that's how i got myself into TIG welding and robot programming... i just kept on asking the bosses to give me a chance and they got so fed up that they...
Yes definately make the trip!
How about production welding? aren't there any big plants in your area? I know there's a welder shortage here in France, not sure how it is in Ireland... I know they often want experience but if you show up on the doorstep they often are willing to let you try...
Nice bit of kit mate:clapping:i envy you!
Ah nothing starts the day of better than some cow muck!!:laughing:
Looks good for a first time, keep practising!
 Sparks
:o Wow, i'm on shade 11 for mig with my speedglass bucket...how good or bad is your eyesight mr fuzzy? Good lighting around and on your workpiece makes a world of difference! ;)
 Sparks
Yes all the robots i work with have that arc not established or arc fault alarm...but as far as i know it's the robot source that sounds the alarm and not the welding source...but it's more of a beeeeep....hum...maybe not relevant but just saying lol:laughing: the guy made me chuckle...
It might be worth it to start with getting your settings right....when you describe the balls weld bead the first thing i think of is too much wire and/or not enough power...what settings do you use? And yeah post some pics! We luuuurve pics on here lol! ;)

Really? That doesn't make sense to me...cos when you're going uphill you can't go as fast as downhill so you should have more chance to blow through...:dontknow:
And yes when it's done right your welds should be leakfree in just one pass...the ones i do at work are tested with air pressure and...
If you have trouble seeing where to weld try angling your torch slightly to right so you can see where you're going...also when welding exhaust pipe like this you can weld with a bit more wire stick out wich improves visability too ;) and yes you should move downhill...it makes it easier to weld...
Hellooo and welcome to the nuthouse:waving:
Uhm what's up with all the :scared: lads??:laughing:

Anyway welcome aboard and it's great...
Yeah i understand what you mean pdg...but if i'm correct Pyro uses an Esab c251 and he can adjust voltage and wirespeed seperately;) all comes down to the travelspeed then:thumbup:
Nice little kits Esab...i like it:thumbup:
 Sparks
Edit : oh and are you pushing or pulling the welds? Pulling...
