If you get a gen lincoln torch then it should have the plug..mine wasnt a lincoln .the original plugs are four wires soldered in place,my torch had just two wires from the triger but easy to work out, had my set from new and have handbook with nice leccy drawings which was usefull
I replaced my Lincoln torch just because I wanted a 5 meter lead, dont forget if you change yours you need to get a multipin plug and gas connection for the torch to inverter end, forget what make mine is but I got it and the plug from BOC and yes its wp17 as standard
I use a lincoln v160 daily bought new and never had a problem, just got a lincoln mig set as the Tig has been so good, but yes they are both Italian,,then again my Renault was built in Luton!
Ford dont seem to get it with the rust..I have heard the connect van is Turkish and doesnt seem to rust but to be fair there is a lot of bad things reported about them mechanically.
It seems whatever make you go for there are faults and good points
well the old movano died the other day had a look at endless vehicles.shocking to see 08 reg transit with rust starting to show on wheel arch.
despite gearbox worries Ive now got an 06 reg Trafic 60k and full history for good money, drive is in a different league to the old van just hope it...
Only you can decide what you want for the future, your course is different from my day as I am an old git, well 40 something anyway, I had 5 year apprentice and night school/day release at tech school. we either done C&G or Onc leading to Hnc.
then after all that you start to learn!!
my Movano is an old v reg,to be honest its never let me down but is now untidy with rust and Has a noisy gearbox, I did look at the i Load its a hell of a good deal but its just to small, if I get a hiace or even a Transporter it will have to be lwb
the Garage guys are telling me to avoid common rail engines..pretty much rules anything out!
I think you take a chance with any second hand motor,I just dont want to spend 3 or 4K then end up with a load of trouble,
Lease is a good way to go for a new one esp with a maintainance option ,but I...
Garage near my workshop is full ..honestly full of masters and transits awaiting repairs, same with older vivaro/traffic vans gearbox, injection etc.Ive read a lot of good reports about hiace, any one gotor had one care to let me know how it is/was.

getting ready to change my old Movano Van, don't want to spend on brand new looking at 04 to 07 plate, but which one to get, there are horror stories about all the newer vans ie movano/master gearbox ,transit fuel pump vw drive shafts!!

Hotrodder..not to sure about the model of my edwards ,the bends it does in stainless are not as sharp in the middle if that makes sense,Ive thought about trying to beef it up a bit.
also looks like the sheet slips in the clamp rather than being held and bent.
difficult to describe!
Mike I am...
thought about subbing but we are to be held to a tight margin, there could be 50 off double skinned tanks so its worth getting a way of doing ourselfs if that makes sense.I need to go and see the customer before putting in a firm price ,its the old problem of have to make a profit but have to be...
need to bend some 1.5mm 304 stainless and my old Edwards folder doesnt like it,this needs to be a neat fold 500mm wide, and its for a new customer.I cant afford to gear up at the mo, I need to do (lots) of these as part of a job lot of tanks we have been asked to build.
suggestions on a...
