A couple more funny signs to share...

and also a more "useful" design, a drill holster for my better-half's craft drill, keeps it handy yet out of the way when not needed (screwed it to the underside of her crafting bench)

Yeah, it makes such a difference when the filament is properly dry. I only discovered this for myself when I picked up a filament dryer that was on offer and tried it. Getting much better surface finish now. Even printed some dessicant holders to fit into the center holes in the filament reels...
Not exclusively, there are "raised text" versions of each file that with a single colour printer you can pause the print at a certain height (just above the background) and then change the filament and continue with the rest of the text in the new colour.
Done a few more multi-colour signs,
( if anyone want's the print files for any of these they can be found here https://www.printables.com/@Spudd78_648739/collections/615193 )

That's wierd, I just clicked on it and it's got it at £13.52 :dontknow: (although I think I'm still logged in) I guess this is "dynamic pricing" in action, everyone gets served up a different price.
There's a number of sellers selling this exact same looking buildplate, I just went with the...
It's an aftermarket one from aliexpress ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005193378909.html ), only took 12days to arrive.
Just finished another sign, this one has the best finish so far of all these attempts

Sure is! The fancy patterning comes from the build plate, but you can still see in places where the "lines" of filament haven't fully merged together to give the perfect impression of that patterning, I'm still making small adjustments to try an achieve that.
These all are printed using PETG...
On a bit of a roll with these funny signs, just pulled this one off the printer, couple of annoying whisps of the wrong colour (whisps of black over the yellow), but still dialing in the settings for this PEO buildplate that arrived this morning. (that's what gives the...
I have just recently upgraded/replaced my old 3d printer (had an Anet A8, flogged it to an early grave, LOL!!) with a Bambu Labs X1 which has a 4 spool filament autochanger/thing. With this you can print using up to 4 different filaments (actually with the Bambu system you can upgrade to have a...
I have a medium sized one ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01454B3QQ 7 pocket technician version)
I find it very useful, it's great to hold the most used screwdrivers and a couple of pliers/cutters and/or my voltage probes. Then it is real easy to unclip when it's tea-break time and you...
I bought the Carista OBD adaptor, used their software (monthly subscription based) for one month, then installed "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" by "0vZ" from google play store and it reads and resets all the ECUs on my car, is free (has a paid option which unlocks a bunch of live data features) and can...
Well, certainly don't want that. But then what do you do, just leave the car unlocked with the keys sitting in it? I would suggest that perhaps by making it a little more awkward for a potential thief they would more likely move on to an easier target.

First thing I did when I got a car with the option of keyless entry, was to turn off the keyless entry. Even with that, I still keep both keys in a RFID shielded pouch at home and when out.

Big Clive on Youtube has done a few teardowns of cheap/fake chargers. When you see how poor quality they are, and also how dangerous some are, it really makes sense to pay a bit more to get a genuine charger. Especially if you've got a £5-800.00 phone, or even perhaps close to a £1000.00 tablet...
unlike the beautiful job NIE did on this one... (not quite IP4X)
(yes those are 25mm tails, and yes, both top and bottom of this incoming cutout enclosure were butchered the same)
