Although this is specifically aimed at owners of the IFL MIG 170 I welcome constructive comments from owners of other machines. I was welding over the weekend and came to the conclusion the Burnback Adjustment was not working. No matter whether the potentiometer was set to 0 or 10 or anywhere in...
I am definitely on the side of “don’t pressure wash wood”. The pressure can lift the grain, making the surface look terrible. Use something to kill the algae, wash by hand, let dry, sand, sand again, and coat with something durable. Yacht varnish or Osmo oil. There is a huge difference.
Can I add another NO vote for Sony. I’ve had Sony hifi gear since the 1970’s and mistakenly overrode the salesman in Curry’s when we wanted a new telly. I can’t wait for my Sony to to go west as I can then get a decent replacement.
Degradation of panels through age and heat.
Does your roof need strengthening.
Expected life of inverter.
Is there an app to allow monitoring of output.
Does your application require twin strings and will the inverter cope with that if so.
And of course all the cost malarkey and estimated annual...
@ukracer - I am not an expert but if I was drawing something similar I would draw the profile at a suitable distance from the vertical axis to include the required shell thickness then revolve it around said vertical axis. And then print it the other way up, as previously described, to reduce...
@Shox Dr - I have been using Tesco Ashbeck water for years in my Sage machines (I am on number 3, none of the previous failures were down to water quality). I buy it in the 5 litre containers which sadly are made in plastic so they go in the recycling bin when used. Tesco have discreetly...
@Haz87 - I have just replaced the pressure switch on my ancient compressor with a 4 way model. It was under £15 delivered from Amazon (other suppliers are inevitably available).
@doubleboost - John, I bought this from Amazon -
KERUI 115db DIY Wireless Home Security System,Indoor Outdoor Weather-Proof Siren,Window Door Sensors Motion Sensor,Shed Garage Alarm with Remote Control,Burglar Door Alarm for Hotel Shop House
Under £40 and it does what I expect. The supplied...
@Colin H - are you rebuilding with the original Kopp Variator or are you going “electronic”? My Kopp sounded like a bag of spanners so converted to a varidrive then finally to a 3kw VFD. Much quieter, smoother and with easy reverse selection.
IMHO the term “service” is incorrect. I would call it a safety check and recognise what has been said above as the content. If the combustion ratio is correct there’s not a lot to go wrong. If the boiler guy checks the condensate trap you’re lucky.
I recently bought a Bamse 8” battery chainsaw off Amazon. Amazing bit of kit for the price. Comes with 2 batteries, charger, small bottle of chainsaw oil, spare chain. Did the job on a 20’ leylandii in super quick time and cut off all the branchy bits before shredding.
I would wrap a short length of chain round the sprocket, clamp in the vice with a rag then turn the wheel in the correct direction to unscrew the freewheel.
There used to be a pricing spreadsheet on the Prusa site but it seems to have been removed. Maybe other sites have such a tool so you can factor in design time, energy, filament, printing time etc.
