A second vote for the SIP. I’ve supplied my fair share of them to customers over the year and they seem very reliable and well priced. I don’t think I’ve ever had a repair claimed under warranty with SIP.
The Cros Arc 160 Titan MF has been getting very good reviews. It’s very compact and lightweight as well as easy to use and has some excellent uk after care. Well within budget too.
Hi! We've sold plenty of them and have some very good reviews from customers. Only issue I had noticed was that the gas hose from the TIG torch to machine connector was initially manufactured slightly too short but they've rectified the issue now. Let me know if you want a price for one :)
Just been and checked myself. On synergic MIG set on carbon steel steel, argon/co2 20% mix with a 0.6MM of wire it'll go down to 0.6MM material thickness at 25A (13.8V). :)
Its a very good machine, to be honest. I've got one on the bench at the moment and I've used it on and off for about 2 months now and I have to say that every time I used it i'm quite impressed. I'm yet to use it on pulse MIG but have used it in standard MIG and both AC & DC TIG modes and the...

The strucutral application and weld procedure may pose somewhat of a challenge but I'm gonna give our WPQR guy a call this afternoon and see what his thoughts...
It would appear that the last of three, the safety aspects catalogue, is too large in size to upload to the forum so if anyone wants it feel free to send me your email address in DM and i'll send it over :)
Will get them posted tomorrow when I’m in the office. I wouldn’t like throw exact pricing out but let’s just say it’s a hefty investment upwards of £20,000 plus the value added taxings.
Doesn’t seem to put too many off though. When they weigh up the problem it solves for them the investment...
Can I through the Paton StandardMIG 160 into the mix? Their features, technical specs and build quality blow any machines within its price range out of the water and you get a 5 year UK backed warranty. I know I’m biased but it’s a no brainer, in my opinion ;)
We’ve taken on an exclusive UK distribution for LC lasers (Laser Comercial) which are a Spanish manufacturer of handheld laser welding machines and cleaners.
Having seen what they can do and their quality in the flesh I can say that on sheet metal 6MM and under they’re absolutely unreal. The...
