@gaz1 over on @OneLostSoul 's thread you said:

grp and the rubber stuff needs new roof boards...
@OneLostSoul I see you're in Kent, me too.
Whereabouts roughly? I'd be happy to take a look if you / they were really local. I'm not btw some diddy touting for work, just to give a second opinion.
They boost the UK economy by keeping many cowboy builders in work who get paid to do the same job several times. The same people also "repair" the pot holes in our roads.
Seriously though, nothing wrong with a flat roof if done right.
Yes but it's a short term fix only in my experience if the roof is already shot and has water underneath.
I've used hundreds of £ worth of the stuff keeping my flat roofs "ticking over" until we redo/bring the dormers forward.
The OP might get away with it if the leak is recent.
I keep...
I removed the old 380/24V control trannie and substituted with a 230/24V one salvaged from a defunct shredder. Luckily it was the same frame size.
Fed that from L&N rather than L1&L2 previously.
All original safety limits working.
Then rewired the contactors to fwd/rev the new 1P motor...
Ref a clamp meter then you could buy similar to this:

Cheap and would give you at a glance current measurement on each phase simultaneously. This rather than using a clamp meter on each phase in turn. You just pass each phase wire to the motor through...
Done a couple of 2 posts with the BiL, a Bradbury and a Grazia.
Ditched the 3P motor. Fitted a single phase motor but changed the gearing using a couple of 1/2" pitch sprocket and chain. BiL did the motor and sprocket, I re-jigged the electrics.
A bit here...
When I built my lad's electric jeep, I started with small pneumatic wheels:
Later I upped the wheel size to these red centred ones:
From a proper castor place In Norfolk/East of England. The key is they were ridiculously cheap, like a fiver each. I'll try and find the name.
For the better...
I've a 3 panel, 30 tube system to put in here sometime. Cobbled together all the bits over the last few years. I'll be tapping you up for advice!
As for a switch then there's a plethora of ready made, cheap Chinese ones out there for a couple of quid often...
So far our nearly year old cat has put his two front paws over the back door threshold then ran back indoors to safety when a tarp blew in the wind.
My daughter is trying to take him out in a harness on a lead.
