I'll be interested to hear the suggestions. We have a half rendered house and the previous owners painted the render and then (presumably) it rained and now there are paint stains down the lower brickwork. Tried a couple of brick cleaner type products, those didn't work. Pressure washing was...

With most respiratory illnesses the effects can come decades down the line. I don't doubt that the 2k masks are tested and work but I see them as a last resort for very limited use really. Great as a general mask though.
I have an older version of this but never used it with 2k. As with any mask it really is only as good as the fit. Are you absolutely sure your bits need to be done in 2k?

There a TV show called Rust Valley Restorers where a Canadian guy does up classic cars. He had 400 on his land, built up over 30 years. The last series ended with him selling most of them off cheap. Shame he let them sit there rusting away for decades rather than let someone else restore them...

We have a K2 that is still good after 10 years. Bought a Lidl one because we wanted one you could wheel about. It's also good but a bit over powerful tbh. The attachments for doing patios - the bin lid shaped things -...
I have no interest in motorbikes, other than admiring the looks and engineering, but we now watch The Motorbike Show after enjoying Shed and Buried and Junk and Disorderly. Yes, Henry is annoying, but he is a real enthusiast and whilst I'm not interested in the bike reviews the restorations and...
Sorry to hear about your FIL passing. Best to do the clear out fairly quickly if you feel up to it, in my experience anyway. It doesn't get any easier the longer you leave it.
I have used lots of 1k primer on my project. Some of the high zinc aerosol ones are very good, like Bilt Hamber Electrox and a Swedish one I got on clearance last year. But .... they still aren't as good as the 2k epoxy primer I have brushed on, and it was cheap HB Body epoxy. It dries much...
Will it look a bit odd not having a front door where you would expect there to be one? I can't really visualise the rest of the house from the photos but I think you'd have to enclose it in such a way as the extra bit was aesthetically pleasing and didn't look like you'd bricked up your front...
The safety aspect is a bit concerning I admit, though the small number of reviews I've found suggest they are stable when used properly. I'd go for the bigger scissor lift type ones but can't really justify spending so much to do what amounts to a few jobs.
I was thinking it might be worth a trip but I've just been outside to measure our car and unfortunately it wouldn't fit, based on the CJ Autos dimensions anyway. Had a quick look at pallet quotes but they are prohibitively expensive.
Thanks for the offer though. Maybe a more local member will...
I've been thinking of getting one of the basic carlifters/tilters. Both CJ Autos and Automech do them. We don't have a garage to fit anything like a proper 2 post lift so it will be a use-on-the-drive thing.
I've done a forum search and there are a few comments but does anyone have one? My main...
I've used the HB Body epoxy in small amounts, brushed on. It goes on ok and dries rock hard, with no sign of rust coming through yet. Yes, it's more faff than an aerosol but it's a better product and if you don't use a whole aerosol in one session you often find it won't spray again anyway so...
He did sometimes come across as a bit grumpy on here tbh, but I learned so much from his posts when I first joined the forum. I might go back and reread some later just to enjoy his work again.
I feel privileged that we've had the likes of Langy, Norsa, and Burdekin, on here to share expertise.
I have a fancy Omron bp monitor which sends the reading to your phone. Really useful for looking at the pattern. Mines gone up a bit as I started eating crap at Christmas and haven't really stopped yet. My watch takes bp too but I'm not that confident of its accuracy.
As you get older a bp...
