Well we finally have some internets!!!! BT can' hook up the fibre till March but sent us a mini 4G hub which is working quite nicely. Also, we have finally acquired, and by Acquired I mean moved into our new house. Lots to do, and I do mean lots! But we managed to get most stuff moved over...
I've just got the hose that came on the Titan vacuum going to my cyclone, then a 35mm from the cyclone to plug into various tools. Works ok on the thicknesser, but not quite enough suction, and that's with a decent shop vac.
Works fine on the sanders, tablesaw and bandsaw though.
Can't coment on if they are made by Husky or not, but they really are an excellent saw, I've got one I was given as it needed some repairs and it's a pleasure to use. 16inch bar on it and I often go to it over my Stihl for doing firewood etc.
Offer him a day rate, not selling yourself short, and suggest he supplies all the consumables (rods, fuel etc) and you'll supply you and your welder. But don't short on your time, be realistic with what you can achieve and let him decide if he wants to let you do it or if the current lot will...
Friend saw some nice elm planks for sale on facebook, so we arranged to pop round today to have a look. Turns out that said friend has worked with the bloke who was selling them, and he had LOTs of wood. He has a sawmill so had lots of bits round the place. Still green but we will have a nice...
I was just talking to someone about Time Bandits the other week, fantastic film. Haven't seen it in ages, must watch it again sometime. Maybe get rid of Mum and the misses for an evening so I can watch it with dad.
That's where I was looking (S&S), I've had a look on axminster too. I've seen, and missed, a couple of nice machines but have hit the same snag as you, finding a spiral head cutter, to make fit a machine, without spending more than just buying new. I think in the new workshop I may bite the...
Where did you order it from if you don't mind me asking Andy? I like the idea of a spiral head planer. Missed out on a nice old one a little while ago. One machine, separate planer and thicknesser, no space at the time :vsad:
As long as you have the material thickness to cut the correct countersink. On thinner stuff you have to dimple, but then it's not usually critical structure.
I went for one of the electric Aldi Ferrex ones as I already have some batteries already. Mainly for us in the garage, used it a few times and been surprised at how well it's worked. Cut through a Jara wood sleeper without any issues.
Full of absolute ming and when you don't look after your kit things like that happen. Especially if you crank if up and run it max chat for ages.
I wouldn't say it would be a bad advert for any manufacturer without us having a bit more info.
I really like the folks Honda 4stroke strimmer, its a joy to use. Even with the brush cutter on it happily bubbles away.
I'd have to say either Stihl of if you can find one johnsered chainsaw.
I've steered clear of the easy start and easy chain tension nonsense in favour of KISS.
