Cheers guys. I’ll try that on rebuild.
Going to pull the flywheel later to check the key on back. That damage got me wondering if the timing might be out.
If all else fails I’ll order a new unit.
Father dropped a con saw down for me to look at.
I’ve limited small engine experience, but everything seems to check out. Compression good, getting fuel, bore and piston look ok through exhaust port, spart there but seemed weak.
Plug wire is a little chewed and noticed this damage on coil pack...
Hi guys,
I have little experience with aluminium. I have to make a frame that needs to be light and needs to support a bit of weight
I’m thinking 20mm square hollow section in 1.6mm wall. The longest span is approximately 6ft how strong is the ally I’ve that length I am hoping to support it...
I know but I wanted to get a couple bits tacked up tonight.
Got the marking off the resistor and will put one on the shelf. Issues is going back a good while. Weldequip supplied an new switch but this is what it was after all this time
Once it started before it would run for hours, just needed to make contact to start up when I was hitting it. Hopefully this fixes it. Welder doesn’t get moved or used much at all
Hi All,
Been having an issue with the welder the last while. Had to give it a tap to get it going. Pulled it apart and there is a terminal broke on a resister on the power board. See image attached.
Should I just solder in some wire to bridge it, not enough left on the terminal to de-solder...
I see what you mean, there is a few models from 180nm up. I'll have a look at some later see what value there is. I like makita tools I presume that they're torque figures aren't totally fictional
