Does anyone know the difference between the fiac wrt30 and the wrt28 models?
The wrt30 has a higher cfm fad but seems to be the exact same compressor from all the info I have read.
I think that the wrt28 will be more than sufficient for me but now curiosity has gotten the better of me???
I had actually been looking at the fiac workhorse range because the have been quoting fad figures.
Couple of my options below
The wrt30-250s with 21.4 cfm fad and the wrt 28 with 18 cfm fad
Clarke only offer a 1 year warranty where as the fiac range comes with 2 years. After much of the...
I've been driving myself mad in recent days looking at various options and scouting classifieds for bargain compressors. I did find a clarke xev16/150 that cuts out and needs reset for 100 quid but I think my best bet is to reorganise the workshop, save a bit more money and buy a tandem...
I've been a member of this forum for around 14 years... I started learning mig with a small clarke mig pro90.
I've since bought
Tig welder
Bead roller
Stud welder
Shrinker stretcher
Sheet metal shears
Various sykes pickavant hammers
1 dozen or so dollys
And.... I've got a tree stump with a bowl...
I happy to hear all advice, I'm a complete newbie in this field and genuinely appreciate everyone taking time to post.
I can understand your logic on the smaller receiver being quicker to fill and also Joe's view on having the larger receiver as the larger volume of air will be held at the same...
I've been scouring the likes of gumtree and ebay with very little success. I guess I'll keep my eyes peeled. Not looking to rush this one. I'd rather get the right one.... Or as you suggest... I right good deal in something for just now
When you say up a price level... What do you think we are talking money wise?
I'm waiting to hear back from this lot on a quote... But they look very different from the compressors I've posted already.
I have to admit, other than some subtle differences they do look the same. This was my fear... The same stuff rebranded and sold for a premium.
I suppose that "made in the UK" should really just be "assembled*
Taking everyone's advice into consideration I've come up with a short list.... Are there any clear winners in the eyes you guys?
I'd love have the funds to spend 2k on a twin pump unit but space and funds dictate otherwise.... So here are the biggest that are within budget...
Taking everyone's advice into consideration, I think I've come up with my short list....
I'd love to splurge 2k on a twin compressor unit but I think I would struggle for space in current location.
Are there any clear winners for quality out of this lot or should I just go with the cheapest option?
Price wise they seem to be on par with the clarke unit. Am I being simple here? I'm sure this one is only 3 phase... Its the closest equivelant I could see to specs on the clarke compressor
Thanks for the heads up but unfortunately the industrial range of clarke stuff is never part of this offer (so I'm told)
This is the model that I think I'll end up buying unless otherwise advised
I plan on using hvlp gun and air tools like my sander, saw and angle grinder.
The clarke industrial range seem to have pretty good reviews from long term users and I've got a machine mart close by so I'm leaning towards these units. They offer a 200l 3hp unit that I can run from my mains (have...
Thanks for all the replies, it seems as if I have also been duped by the tricky marketing tactics.
This actually makes things a lot more difficult. I'm currently working out of a double garage with a view to up sizing in the near future to my own unit. My garage will really struggle for the...
Good evening guys, I was hoping to get a few recommendations for my compressor. Will be used for running airtools and hvlp paint gun.
Needing something with at least 14cfm (so I'm told) min 150l in size.
I did have my eye on a clarke unit (se26c200)
Would that be a good fit for my needs...
I'm hoping that I've got it right as it is... When I'm placing the panel in situ it's flexing out a bit to sit flush for the pics. If more fettling is required then so be it... Lol
