I have a welding bench, which I have connected the earth of my mig welder and tig welder
When welding can I damage one of the welders by having the 2 earths (1 per welder) connected at the same time?
Many thanks in advance
Yeah me worrying again thinking it something I'm doing wrong and not the welder. Been welding for a year with a clarke 105 and tips didn't make a lot of difference, not like this I think.
Thanks for all your replies and advice, much appreciated
My welder has gone back to supplier because after a few hours of use and going to the next day,the power seems to have gone down from easily welding 3mm to poor arcing at low wire speed. When you turn the wire feed up it goes away but no penetration. At low wire feeds the weld is awful...
Will do, hopefully it should be picked up by Sealey this week. Not sure to get a refund or a replacement.
I know now, maybe its best to spend a little more to get a little more etc
Thanks for your reply Woz!
not yet, just paranoid . The supplier where I bought it from aren't very forth coming about helping with the problem. So leads me to think I will struggle to get my money back.
Are there any ways of making a welder faulty
I say this, because my Sealey 150 has become faulty and going back. And like most instances the manufacturer always turns it around making it the customers fault.
I have ran it on a 13 amp plug, fuse never popped, and well nothing else I have...
Which gas/no gas welder under £400
I am looking for a new welder. Bought a Sealey last week and was faulty, so lost my confidence with Sealey.
Now upping my budget to get a more reliable one. My budget is 350-400.
Could anyone recommend some?
It must be a NO GAS/GAS welder
Welder is going back to supplier for inspection. Spoke to Sealey and they think its down on power and didn't think the tip would make that big difference. Hopefully get a refund after loosing confidence in Sealey. Will push my budget up and get a better brand.
Any suggestions?
I have a mig, at low wire speeds at any power on my 150amp and 105amp it just spits and spatters. Not a constant arc. I need to go aboth 6-7 on .9mm wire on any thickness steel
Should it do this?
I bought a SEALEY Mighty Mig 150 last week. Used it for the first time, plenty of power for welding 3mm steel. It would easily burn through. I used a wire setting of 4 and the switch settings on 2 and MAX. Welded excellent all the time is used it for about an hour or two. I manage to weld 8mm...
