Hopefully, if this works you will be able to see a couple of short clips. One is the lathe running, noteably loder in forward than reverse. The other is me spinning the bearing on the shaft.
So today I attacked the clucth assembly, which I failed to mention earlier is the suspected source of the excess bearing noise I was experiencing. I 95% knew this as I had removed all of the other shafts from the headstock but left this one in place till last, my reasoning was that from...
Well Ive made a right balls up of putting pictures on, they are in no kind of order at all and I cant see most of them. What am I doing wrong?
Anyway, as it happens all of the bearings seem in good order as they have came out. No noise when spinning the shafts on them and no play in any of...

So the story so far is, I was looking to buy a lathe for the garage at home and a few month of looking but never saw anything local that was...
Some good replies here lads, appreciate it. I have decided to leave that one for now.

No specific questions about those in particular. I did ask the seller the size of it and he came back with 120 x 176 x 60. Im assuming...
Evening everyone, been a long time since I signed in to the forum. Anyway Im looking to buy a lathe and figured you guys on here would be able to help a bit. I did have a Clarke CLM500 for a while but it sat in the corner of my unit and only ever got plugged in a couple of times. It came with no...

Ive recently borrowed a mates MIG set, its an SIP 105 iirc (too lazy to go in garage and check). Put a few welds on some steel for a bit of practice as Ive got some work to do on my car over winter. Its a good few years since I used a welder and I cant seem to get it set quite right. The last...
Cheers chaps :D
The silver on the box and diff is just aerosol "wheel silver" with aerosol laquer on it. Its never gonna be a concourse car so didnt go too mad with it. It will mainly only get used in the dry so a jetwash underneath now and again is all it will get.
While the floor is bare...
They are common on the rear of the inner sills. Mine are ok fortunately, for now. A lot of people repair them badly as to be done properly the rear beam needs to be removed. Ive seen loads that have just had a bit of plate shoved in, couple of tacks on and thickened with underseal. :o
Ah yes Ive seen that quite often and it can be annoying.
However I have just checked my PhotoBucket and Ive only used 137MB of my allowed 10GB so it will be a long long time before I exceed that. Considering Ive been using PB for the past 6 years or so I think Ill be a very old man before that...
Sorry fella :ashamed:
How does PB trash threads then? Just curious as it is fine on all other forums I use.
Wanna point me in the direction of how to upload them to the forum server? :)
