Anyone know what these fittings are on this hot water tank ?
Two are to the coil and one is the cold fill inlet. If I can't ID them I can weld on stainless BSP fittings so all is not lost.
I'll make it if you want it's easy peesy, but I don't have any of the right oil quencable steel here and really you need the action to final fit and test it, if I leave it soft and in the white maybe you can get a gunsmith to fit it and harden it off ?
I did my apprenticeship at a London gumakers as an actioner
Unfortunately we were all drunk all the time and I can't remember those 4 years.
We would have made it from flat ground plate and filed it up by hand, then quenched in oil.
I once found a bloke in a boatyard that had a business overplating narrowboats and saw he was manualy pulsing the MIG on and off and doing all the welds one tack at a time , turns out he can't weld continously.
And the marine surveyors were passing off his work.
Ordered a box of dust masks and two boxes arrived, I checked the payment and no mistake at my end I only ordered one but got two.
Obviously they wanted me to have ten free because I'm a top bloke.
