was this from cobhom? as mine come from there and i'm so impressed with it.
I do banger racing and had to cut some welds on a car, out come plamsa cut 3mm sheet easy, we run corner plates, marked them up and cut them with ease. Even cut the cat off using it.
not tried nothing thicker, but...
Mum and dad got me a cut40 for xmas and i'm so happy with it!!! not really used it but done a few cuts with 3mm sheet and some car panel stuff and it's spot on.
It come from a guy in cobham way surrey who was very very nice and helpfull he is looking at importing more of these units but...
that is just crap isn't it, so basically there is nothing i can do?
it's only about a metre long would like 2 / 3 if possible but guess it's not, oh well!!!
cheers for the reply malcolm :)
i belive it's a 160T i will double check.
but can you extend the earth clamb? wire geed / trigger on these? as they are short and annoying, i'm looking at maybe a 10 / 15foot run so i can leave welder in corner of the garage and just pull cables to where i want them instead of keep moving...

they any good?
i'm guessing i'll need to supply a air regulator to filter out the water? they good price and does it really do 12 mm?
no rads up front, just a water tank at the back this is so we can go hitting etc. yes they do rust inside but the amount of water they hold and they don't get used to often so it's not a problem as they don't hold water for long period of time e.g 3 races normally about 15 mins then water is...
yes your right, any normal car is a pressured system, but then you run rad up front and a fan on it to cool it down, when we put steam tanks at the back it's not the case, bue water is dropped after each race and fresh put back in and with the overflow the system is then not pressurised as you...
not underpressure as there is a overflow to allow the steam , extra water etc out so they are not a pressured system.
but as said they must exist as been used before on so many tanks i just can't find them!!!
nar wanna use steel as it's a steel tank, must be able to buy these knecks, tapered and caps from some where so many tanks have been made around the world!!!
Nope, it will just be holding water, like a rad but replaced up back with a water tank to hold more water, so the system will flow round the engine like any other car with a overflow pipe coming out of the top to let the steam out.
Hey,
i'm making my own water tank for banger racing etc, not a problem use some cardboard for the layout then cut some 3mm sheet to match that and weld up. Thats the easy part
for the outlets i've got some tube think 2 half inch wide 3mm wall to give me my pipes, but i'm struggling to find...
