As it it now
Left everything on to keep dust out of car and engine. Wil strip off all chrome, windows, lights etc to finish it off then off to the sprayer.
Yup, got it mot'ed after fitting the 3rd servo. Drove it, put out the fire, fitted a big heatshield, drove it some more, broke down, replaced ignition module, drove it, ripped the bike carbs off and fitted injection and made a firm commitment to never touch bike carbs again!

Anyone know whether this stuff is any good?
Usually when something that's bad for you is removed from something, it ceases to be any good...
I towed a car shell on plant trailer from penzance to inverness. checked my licence covered it, and that all weights were fine for the car etc. never occured to me to check insurance.
Made it in one piece, but still. oops.
I've welded up my exhaust in the meantime, but not convinced it'll last.
The garage 'welders' that got it through the mot already had a go and it ain't pretty!
Anyone know any good sources for exhaust parts? I've looked at jetex and exhaustpartsuk but they don't seem to have what I'm after.
I'm thinking on doing my own rear silencer for my audi, as it seems only audi themselves sell it and want 350 quid + vat for the priviledge! :o
Its a 1.8T...
We're not all like that. I work in IT and have almost finished restoring my first car. Built couple kitchens and many other things along the way.
Theres hope for all geeks yet you know ;)
Anyone diy'ed one?
Paying local blaster money time and time again gets annoying, and I know you can buy em from frost but wheres the fun in that :D
I'm thinking some old propane/butane cylinders, water trap, bit o hose, couple bits o bar and a couple wheels.
I replaced my cheap naff one with a couple of halfords pro ones. About 60-70 quid each, tho with a trade card 20% off.
Perfectly happy with them, but then I don't use them day in day out.
If its a new business spraying cars they should be using waterbased. People were only supposed to use up existing supplies of 2k, not buy more in. Its a bit heavily frowned upon these days.
