I am a car driver and a motorbike rider, I have a "hothatch" car and as some of you describe a "crotch rocket" Bike. I have seen the roads through both opinions as many of you also have and the point is ITS NEVER GOING TO CHANGE!! stop arguing everyone please. Yes bikes are dangerous and so are...
Firstly i think you should all stop arguing, It does not matter what bike you like, A 1000cc super sports bike, a V twin chopper, A tourer whatever. What does matter is that you share the same passion for riding as the person next to you on the road. You could pull in my drive with a 2007 latest...
Hi all
Well its been a while since i last posted so i thought i would keep you all updated. Other than working really hard i have gone and had a reshuffle in the garage (mostly due to the addition of my bike) i made my ground anchors and painted them red, after a few cheap purchases of car...

Hi all
I would just like to say i wear contact lens's and i weld with them in (and i have had a few accidental arc flashes too) and up to now i have never had any problems with them. Infact the worst u can do is sleep in them when they are not designed to be slept in (they seriously stick to...
It most certainly is a peripheral vision tester, we have a few similar in use at the hospital i work at. you rest you head on the chin and forhead rest and inside there is a dome. at the far end there is a light that lights up a spot. you are told to stare diectly at the spot. when the operator...
Hi all
Now that i have finished my welding table and finished making the ground anchors for my bike, my thoughts have turned to my next planned project. I started my hydraulic shop press today that will take me a few weekends to complete but what shall i make next?? Well lucky for me i have a...
In my very mini garage/mini workshop my cutting options are
9" angle grinder = Suppose its the equivalent to a chop saw :p
Reciprocating Saw = Closest to a bandsaw i suppose
Air Nibbler = For the thin stuff
And soon to have a cheap chinese plasma cutter hopefully, and maybe one of those...
Hi
I used to have a cosmo machine, as far as i know cosmo is just a re badged SIP, the parts are identical. Any SIP bits will fit a cosmo machine (even the replacment drive wheels, which i had to replace). the tips for the the hobby machines are all the same (as far as i know) just make sure...
Double up some of the plate and make a nice ground anchor for your bike (errr if you have one that is) just dont paint it red when your bike is blue

Hi mark
I will post some pics next time im out in the garage. My welding tablr is just like the folding one on the lincoln electric site, only instead of making the frame i just bought a really cheap workbench from wilko's. then instead of putting the wooden battons on it, i welded a 2 foot by...
Hi everyone

Hi
No not yet, i have a about 6 weeks to go yet (nearly finished saving) still not sure what year to go for as they changed the design after 2004 so im not sure which shape i like the most. I just bought my set of leathers and accessories, all in blue so i best get a blue bike lol oh problem is...
Well i think i will stick to what i know, welding a ground anchor - the worst that happens - My bike gets nicked!
But then the person who nicked my bike might go out on it and kill him/herself argh i hate liability

Hi all, Well this weekend i have a few days of welding planned (weather dependant) I have just about finished making my welding table project (I shall post some pictures shortly) and i will be using it for my next project. Prior to the arrival of my shiny new Motorbike (Yamaha r6 if anyone is...

Hi all
I have just found out that the welding course i was due to start has been cancelled due to "lack of interest" so now my local collage is only running the fulltime welding course and not the night class one (totally useless for me) So does anyone have any ideas where i should be looking...
