Evening folks,
I'm struggling to get my head around parts of one of my latest Uni assignments...I've to draft various components and designate different fits. For example a slight interference fit, hole H7 and the shaft K7 (nominal size 50mm). Following the calculations and establishing the max...
Alright Guys, So far I've shorted the euro connector as Robotstar and Rapidwelding advised and no luck . I checked the fuses last night, and none visibly blown. Its still under warranty ( 3 years ), but just dont want the hassle of sending it back to the uk for a simple fix that will take...
Hi Guys,
Yesterday morning my lincoln mig wire feed packed up  . It was working flawlessly for the last few years. It powers up fine, just nothing happening with the wire feed motor when the trigger is pushed. Not sure if its the torch or machine... as no gas seems to coming out either...
With a bit of a haggle,I got a fairly decent deal with a local fabricator. I'm not local to any SS suppliers, so the 80 euro delivery charge they want is a bit off putting, making small orders not worthwhile. Thanks lads
Starting a new project that requires stainless. What prices would i be looking to pay for say 40x5mm and 25x6 flat and say 6mm round a metre or whatever. 304 would be alright. Don't want to be ripped off, as I fairly new to the whole stainless lark... Thanks.

Hi Guys,
I'm thinking about welding a mild steel replacement stove grate tomorrow, as the cast one can only withstand the coal and hardwood fire for no more then a couple of months. Its about 450mm x 400mm. I've got some 25mm round bar and various heavy flat about in the 'shop. I was thinking...
Just looked up those silver streak pencils, cant say Ive tried one before. If accuracy is required I use a Scriber and just a cut where a mm or 2 makes no difference Engineers Chalk. Keep meaning to get one with a pocket clip though, always manage to misplace them, dont balance well behind my...
My landrover axles/stearing arms, suspension components etc are been sandblasted. After doing some research into what paint systems best suited the scenario, am i right thinking that i should epoxy prime the bare steel followed by a black polyurethane enamel ? or does it require another primer...
I had a similar problem, all doors locked except the rear right passenger. Its a known fault, the wiring loom is too tight and wires end up breaking between the doors and pillar, so re solder or maybe just a lose plug. May just rip the interior door panel off and check it out.
