Good result today on ebay, exchanged a few messages last week, very nice chap drove a 10 hour round trip, collected, paid £3K cash and went on his way very happy.

The original feed to the property came in under the floor slab and must have leaked as it has been unceremoniously cut off.

Thanks chaps. The bricks are of 1900 vintage, hard as hell and very smooth so the paint shouldn't have a great bond to it - hopefully. There are areas that have failed anyway.
