Yeah, I have tested the cap and it does not hold charge compared to a hood one.
I just wanted to know if there was anyway of working out what size it ought to be in microFd.
Well yes, I can understand your thinking but this slow speed running happened before and changing the capacitor brought the fan up to normal speed, so i suppose it does effect speed.
Sorry, I meant to say i have already tried a new 25micro farid cap and it is still slow.
The motor turns free when powered off, its not belt driven.
Should I try a 45microF cap?
Hi All,
My small extractor fan motor is running slow and need a replacement capacitor. the existing capacitor was painted over so I cannot see its markings or value. I have tried a 25microF cap and it is still running slow.
Is there any way to work out what cap size I need for this motor? I...
HI Chaps,
Apologies for the delay in responding....family issues etc.
I was in the unit yesterday and wired up to the white connector block sitting left most. upon applying the power to the compressor it does not startup all I hear is a relay clicking.
I have just read through your suggestions...
Just a thought, I bought the compressor on eBay from a good car dealership. They had this working till their new upgrade...that being the case I would have thought any jumper wires should already be installed and all I neex do is wire up my supply..just 4 wires.
It that reasonable to assume?
Hello again,
Many thanks for your quick response, you are infact not teaching your granny how to suck eggs buddy, I have carried out house wiring projects before but the 3 Phase I do not know and I'd rather be safe.
Thank you again for the cheat, as you say I do not want to damage this...
Many thanks for your response.
Its a Hydrovane HV07RS screw compressor buddy, I have attached the wiring diagram I got from the dealers and hop that it helps better.
Hi All,
I am trying to connect my 3 phase compressor to the supply.
Could someone confirm the terminals to use are L1, L2 and L3 plus teh stud ground and not the T1, T2, T3.
I iwll try to attach a picture on the connector block and my supply switch.
Many thanks in advance
Hi
Thanks for the response.
That is the fan that was recommended for the size of the booth by Gallito sales, since I have got the setup now, is there any adjustments I can make to improve this setup?
regards
Hi All,
Many thanks for your response, sorry for the delayed update but been busy at work.
Okay, the setup I have is a follows:
Extractor fan is a Gallito make, it is 450mm inside width and 505mm deep using a 1.1Kw motor, I am not sure what flow rate this is but I could get that info...
Hi All,
I have recently set-up/built a spray booth room, I have a paper filter with a 450 diameter Gallito extractor fan box, I also have clean filters to bring in clean filtered air.
I am having a few issues with calculating the air flow within the booth assuming there is a calculation...
