I would maybe suggest putting a slight negative taper on the punch aswell-not sure if that's the right word
So as soon as its punched through its not dragging and causing more of a burr
Most of the reason it snapped was down to worn/bent flights increasing the power needed to turn it coupled with the centre shaft wearing down from 35mm to ~31mm over a few years-design was pretty trouble free for the first few years of its life so im happy the basic pitch etc is right
Anyway...
25 boxes just turned up here and not 1 single free box
Mainly will be used for when im making hydraulic pipes-1 pair each time as they get so mucky no point in trying to take them on and off so cheap and cheerful is perfect!
Could be part of the problem yes there's fair pressure on it all when its pushing the chip back towards itself you can hear the motor straining when a knotty piece goes through
I've got hardfacing here i can sort the flights no problem I've built them up several times already its the shaft material im not sure on
That would be easy enough to weld to and be better at taking that repetitive twisting? I was thinking maybe en8 or en16 but wasn't sure on the twisting if...
I wouldn't say from the shaft moving no its a relatively tight fit in the bore approx 5mm clearance
I think its just the twisting force that is breaking it there as the reverse flights try to push the material back towards it
Dont think the motor would go that slow i think its already inverter driven to slow it considerably its only doing approx 20rpm
Don't really want to get into altering gearboxes etc
Mates got a 2018 berlingo van
Trailer socket stopped working
Tested a few bits and got power going into this little module but none coming out
Looks to be a few hundred quid for a new module
Now my question is...
Can i wire the lights in without it and will they work?
Aware that the...
Auger has broken in our biomass boiler
35mm centre shaft
Flights are 90mm od
Approx 1500mm long
The main stress point is where the flights reverse so this is constantly twisting the shaft every time it starts-runs for 4 seconds every 20 seconds so a lot of stop/starts
I think the original...
I think mine is either the max or the pro?
Only vehicle I've failed on is a ssangyong they don't seem to cover them atall
Old simple code reader plugged in and read the code fine but wouldn't go any further than that
A gap iid would do more on landrovers but tied to 1 vehicle if you want to...
I always thought the max pressure on the tyre sidewall was just for seating the bead not what pressure to actually run them at?
Ie if the bead hasn't seated by 30 psi etc you need to demount and relube or theres a risk of damaging the tyre bead
Id go with a generic icarsoft will do a lot of stuff on most makes
Then maybe 1 or 2 manufacturer specific tools if you need more features ie iid tool for landrovers etc
You can do a lot with a icarsoft but if you really want to get into something deep its going to cost a lot more than a grand
Has anyone seen/got a single phase 65 in the uk?
Been told by 2 dealers they're 3 phase only so thinking maybe just sold abroad as a single phase version?
