you can melt down ally on a wood fire if its getting air blown through it. I wouldnt fancy doing it in my front room though becuase of the fume hazard...

alright there Soups. Dont worry. Ive run welders loads of time off 13 amp and on long extensions 30/40 foot, obviously dont go running the lawn mower over the cable you'll be fine. If you're just welding up a gate post you wont have to have the thing on full whack anyway.If you can run the lead...
you are going to have trouble welding 2mm sheet with stick welder mind. getting the balance between enough heat to weld but not enough to burn through. as I say try putting the heat up and then speeding up but try to keep the arc short and jammed in to the root of the joint...
try turning the heat up a bit too. I bet thats why its blobbing up like that. and try putting the work a a slight slope, not much just balance a electrode under it sos the slag flows away from the pool a bit more.
did you ever give the engine an oil change? rugerini is the name of the lump. i have found what appears to be the oil filter( a 17mm bolthead on the side of the block with "oilio filtro" in Italian stamped on it.) I couldnt loosen this nut even after applying pressure but then noticed just below...
