Hi Guys, i've been asked to do some work on a sailing boat, altering an instrument panel to sit at 35 degrees rather than vertically at 90 degrees. The panel is mounted on polished stainless steel tube in a U-shape attached to the deck of the boat. Its 1.25" stainless steel, they would prefer if i used the original item but can fabricate new if required.
Now I'm thinking of cutting the existing bar and welding in two 35 degree bends. Heres the problem, I can only find 90 or 45 degree 316 bends.
Whats the best way to do this? Any advice? Buy 90 degree bends and cut 45 degrees out of them? Attached a photo of the item as it currently sits.
