Hi Guys
I am trying to make a special boring bar for my boring head (yeh yeh I know, V funny lol) on my milling machine.
most people silver solder a carbide tip on to cold/hot rolled steel
I dont have a gas torch, and was wondering if tig brazing would be ok????
I was actually going to do it a little different, only cos I dont have diomond wheels etc for grinding and lapping in the carbide
I was going to use Stainless steel as the shank (for added stiffness) and I was hopping to add a HSS tip instead of carbide
only so I could shape it afterwards
