Hi relatively new to the forum, have done a bit of ARC and Mig welding before but having recently purchased a Mk2 golf that needed an bit of welding but my Clarke 100E mk2 seams to have different ideas and has developed an intermittent fault.
I bought the welder 2nd hand and have taken it apart and it looks like some one has been at the PCB and repaired it before so was think about replacing it but was wondering if some one could shed a bit of light on if they think it would solve the problem.
The welder will work fine then intermittently it is as if the arc is lost some how it just stops forming a weld but it seams to spew out red hot wire.
Is there any checks i can do on the PCB to ensure this the fault?
