Just bought a new speedglas 9100xx FX Adflo with all the extras and I've got to say I'm extremely pleased with it, its a pleasure to wear and the air supply is just perfect. I have a 9100xx normal mask also so I don't have to alway put the Adflo system on if I'm doing a little job, so I'm feeling a little spoilt right now
Also makes all it of sense as the inner screen protector and outer are identical so spares services both helmets.
At first I though the air was too much, almost wanted a one setting down but I soon got used to it when I started working, as it can be a little chilly on the forehead, but once I got some work going was fine.
I noticed there was a gap at the top of the helmet that light in, which you notice more when its basically a fully sealed helmet, I had a small hood that came with it so going to try and get some velcro and attach to the lip of the upper part of the helmet and that should solve the issue, as when I'm at the bench the light was annoying me today.
I found that you do need to wear earplugs as the fan noise gets a little annoying, but guess you should be wearing ear protection regardless, but I have a lovely quite workshop with just me in it so normally not an issue..
What I got was a fair amount for the money, however it still is rather expensive end of the day.
Wanted to know If anyone could tell me when I should use the Gas filter, as I don't want to use it all the time as its expensive and may not be needed for what I do.
It was fun taking it all apart for get the hood on extra, gave me time to really appreciate how well its all made.
What I got in my kit
I wish I could have hung out of the new 9100xxi filter that its coming out but I needed the respirator for work I have coming in.
Thought I better do a selfie before it gets battered
