It's on my list too. I've never seen machine files for sale but it might be possible to make some adapters that can be brazed (I'm guessing files don't weld easily) onto standard files to give them a straight shank/tang. There's a youtuber called Clickspring who uses one quite a lot with a huge range of files, several shapes and from bastard to #6 cut, I can only imagine he buys them new from somewhere.A die filer is on my "to make list", thought the proper die files are getting hard to get.
There was one on eBay a few months ago, a big floor standing thing, made by Edwards IIRC, it went for a few hundred.
