And I don't think a filet needs to reach the top of that. Not even close. I believe (could be wrong) that's been cladded for either wear,impact or corrosion resistance. He said it was SS so corrosion or work hardening could be the reason. Not sure tbh.Oh I see its not overlapped the conventional way 1 2 bottom half over lap then 3 top over lap 2nd lap
...but we call the last a 20 weld. Its a root weld, 2, 3, 5 passes then seven to close it off. Boring as he.....
