I have recently invested in a clarke spot welder for my next project, only bought the cws6t as will only be required for 2 thickness joints. Anyone any advice or information for getting started with spot welding, I have done a few demo welds and they appear to form ok and penetrate well, issue I have is what is best form for welding tips on car work, is the ball ended as supplied best or is it best to have angled sides with a flat on the end, also when setting up I had a few welds that almost burnt through if this happens is it best to reduce time or reduce pressure to correct it, any advice in getting to understand spot welding a bit more appreciated
Thanks
