The compactor itself (bosch) has a plate on it saying "S60"
The engine itself says JLO and "L101" i think. There's mention of "west" germany, so its a good few years old!
Someone has just given me it, but its not too healthy.
Obvious visible faults -
HT lead severed
Missing recoil assembly
Missing fuel pipes
Missing pipe between air filter and carb
Throttle cable seized
Gater at base missing
Looks like its been left out in rain
I would imagine my first job should be to get a socket on where the recoil assembly should be and see if the piston is seized. Beyond that, im wondering how much effort i should spend, as, a look on ebay shows them come up sometimes for under a ton... But im not sure i want to wait that long.
Any suggestions / comments / links to manuals (google has left me dry) / etc? It would be nice to get it running, but i fear it may be a lost cause.
Im told it ran nice, and then the recoil assembly broke, but its just been neglected since.
