Must admit I prefer the old style fixed shade but work prefer us to use reactive types
Speed thing most probably, Ive worked for a couple of companies like that before now, priority over everything else, is "get it out of the door!!!!!" and they think a reactive shield is a must, as if your welding in say 50mm stitches then you might run for example 270 in a day rather than 250 lol
Those suprisingly were jobs that could only put up with for a few weeks at a time lol

More profit will be made by a welder that is comfortable in the gear he is using. A company insisting he uses something he dose not like to speed him up won't benefit from it. Back purges case is different as that is product promoting which the company will benefit from. Good welders in a production environment will produce better work with the lid they like. After all if they are wearing it all day it's got to be right for the individual.
Aaahh fair enough lolHear exactly what your saying but it's to do with we sell welding screens etc so they want people to see us using top of the range gear in the hope they will want to buy the same
