I'd thought of using dog food cans (the big ones) inset as formers in hollow cast blocks to build a flue up with. Lot of work but dirt cheap compared to buying proper flue sections.ive seen food cans tacked together to make chimneys...
I did consider this but thought they were galvanized. Not sure how that would affect things.scaffold pole - if you need more cross section, just use two... or three...

Grind it off around where you want to weld, I doubt the Chimney will ever reach 900ish* degrees (Boiling point of zinc).I did consider this but thought they were galvanized. Not sure how that would affect things.
4 " for a small stove , ( 17 kilo bottle) 6" for a bigger stove. In that case, there a scaffold company just setting up next to our unit. I'll go ask see if they have any going spare.
Would it give enough air flow for a chimney or air intake though?

Scaffold tube would be useless, possibly dangerous carbon monoxide wise.
