Hi,
Can I convert any gas MIG into gasless by changing the polarity/or by other easy steps or do I need specially gas/gasless MIG to make it work? I'm looking for my first own MIG and it needs to be gasless.
Why gasless? I know all the downsides of welding gasless MIG, my material thicknesses aren't that big and I use it basicly just for tagging. I'm hobbyist blacksmith and as I work alone I need tag weld metals for forge welding and other small jobs and MMA feels bit too clumsy for my use. Gasless is enough for my needs for now, but if I could transfer it back to gas version later on that would be great.
Now I've found couple cheap old welding machines but all of them seems to have gas only, atleast the seller says so, and I'm not that experienced with the welders that I could tell. If there's models from Esab, Kemppi or other no-chinese models that can be easily changed to gasless, please tell.
Regards,
-Petteri
