I've got a esab auto darkening helmet that adjusts from 9 to 13 but even on the lightest shade I sometimes struggle to see the work once I've struck the arc any ideals what I can do to help thanks

Agreed. I change both the inner and outer protective plastic screns regularly, it makes a huge difference.Don't know how long you've had it but after a while the front plastic screen needs changing and that makes a hell of a difference to being able to see
I know what you mean, I have had the sun glinting off a new torch shroud trigger my Parweld lid! If you get no joy from the "send it back" or "replace lenses" then maybe a foot operated light that can be activated as you trigger up.I tried that but found that even on the lowest sensitivity the light triggers the Auto darkening.
