Hey Guys
Wouldn't mind having a plasma cutter about the workshop for various odd jobs but they are awfully dear. So I have been considering a home-made one.
Was looking around the internet and this seems to be the best set of instructions I've found:
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-Your-own-Plasma-Cutter/step1/Assembly/
I'm no electrical engineer but I have some knowledge of electronics and the instructions seem well enough laid out for me to follow.
Has anyone build this and if so do you know how it performs compared to a commercial hand plasma?
Would also appreciate it if someone with electrical knowledge could let me know if they see any issues with this. I'm also allowing £200 to £300 quid for this based on the parts list, is this reasonable?
Let me know what you think and thanks in advance.
