Playing with these custom modes and I can't see a gimmicky thing about it. We've been using these tools with 2 speed settings now for years and never really thought twice about it but we really are missing out. Infinite speeds from 120- 2500 rpm on 4 different settings
Same with the torque settings on the driver
Sure there are silly gimmicks like how bright you set the light and light delay time etc but been able to set your own rpm on your hand drill is brilliant.
It's trial and error to start with and I've plumbed in some numbers on each mode and I'll give em a try out/tweak where needed. Once set that's it. Shouldn't need to faff about with it again just make holes. It does also have modes that they have written up for certain things too. I'll have a nose at them another day.
I hear they're bringing out a hammer set next yr, with load cell, accelerometer, and HD slow-mo of thumbs been belted.

Seriously. I can see the use for asset tracking within a large Co, along with locked parameters, so the monkey can use it, but can only see technology for technologies sake for anyone else
