Certainly a nice find, but being honest they are a little rough. With a bit of a clean they could be more appealing. Worth making a note of manufacturers as some are worth more than others and if any have been calibrated recently I.E. are still in cal.
Those look really interesting for anybody into old tech.
I have a nice Brown & Sharpe 0 to 1" in it's box. Do I use it? Nope. But it was given to my Uncle as an engineering prize at Malvern College in 1931, funded by Morgan Cars ( All gold leaf printed on the case) It certainly gives me a nice feeling when I see it on the shelf, next to the calipers that I do use. He gave it to me when I started on the engineers trail. My Aunt, bless her cotton socks, gave me a hack saw and big tough bag. She confused the 'engineer' bit with plumbing.
Miss both of them, loverly people.
The anvils are rusted on most of those. They might make useful hobby tools but they'll never certify. They don't have much value, certainly not enough to warrant having the anvils lapped by a metrology place IMO.
