As only 2% foreigners are Shareholders in the Chinese Market noone in Britain is gonna fall on their **** too much I wouldn't think.I agree the Thermal arc is a quality product.I have been following the Chinese stock market with concern ,today!
Isn't the parweld the same unit (give or take the odd feature)?I agree the Thermal arc is a quality product.I have been following the Chinese stock market with concern ,today!
Both the thermal arc and the Parweld are made in the same factory in china mate.I agree the Thermal arc is a quality product.I have been following the Chinese stock market with concern ,today!
None of those two machines are cheap. They are both good units.
40% @ 200A Jim
I stand corrected, info I was looking at must be old. 30% is correct. Not according to what I'm reading.
Duty Cycle @ Rated Output 20% @ 200A
Output Range 5 - 200 Amps
Mains Input Voltage 1ph. 230V
Open Circuit Voltage 50V - 60V
Protection Factor IP23
Warranty Period 2 Years
Jim, question why do so many units have such a low duty cycle? Not according to what I'm reading.

Okay, well I'm seeing varying info all the over the place.Pretty sure it's 20% Tom, unless the info I have (borrowed off United Welding's site is out of date)
Either way it's still quite low for a 200 amp machine with an otherwise good spread of features.
Miller dynasty Dx is 200@20%They are both ok, there is significantly better kit out there but not in that price bracket, for me the major drawback for both Parweld and TA 202 is the very low duty cycle of 200 amp @ 30% is it? This is fine for the hobbyist but I wouldn't push them on anyone who works their gear hard.
EDIT: it's worse, it's 200 amp @ 20%!
Jim, question why do so many units have such a low duty cycle?
Is it the fan size, quality of components, the fact they can run on a household supply?
The miller 220mpi. Oerlikon Citomig 200Mp and the Lincoln speedtec 200c are all 20% flat out at 200A
IIRC They were until sanrex tried to go it alone under their own name in the US and it didn't really work out for them.I thought Theremalarc was a Sandex product made in Japan
I just checked my GYS 220 ac/dc tig and that's 220A @ 45% ON dc tig and.35% on ac tig flat out so that's Impressive and part of the Reason why it's a £2200 machineIt's not easy or cheap to make an efficient machine that gives high duty cycle and low current draw form the mains. If you don't need the duty cycle don't pay extra to get it. EWM Tetrix 230 pumps out the following (measured @ 40 degrees centigrade ambient air temperature!)
40% 230 Amp
60% 200 Amp
100% 170 Amp
And it does that off a 16 amp fused supply (I know because I've tried it)
