Hi guys, just joined up after a bit of googling and this place seems like the best place to seek advice.
Apologies if posted in wrong section, I couldn't see anywhere more appropriate.
I kind of, well I did, make a hash of cutting up an aluminium piece that was part of a computer case, not only did I make a hash of it I've since changed my mind! It's pretty much impossible getting a replacement piece so my 2 options are trying to have the piece fabricated or repairing the one I have (neither I have a clue where to go or begin)
The aluminium is 5mm thick.
What I was wondering would it be possible to square the 2 large holes out and weld in a 5mm aluminium sheet, grind it back and have re-anodized? The weld seams would also need to be suitable for anodizing.
Located in West Yorkshire but happy to travel, any pointers on who I should see?
