We have, got in before Dec deadline.
What's the current FIT payment after April?
Not much to say really, make sure they fix the panels to the roof trusses, not the batons for the tiles.
Need to be aware that whilst you have 4kw panels output potential, you are limited to output depending upon the elec supply company, its around 3.6 to 3.7 kw.
Have you got old meter or new smart? older the better, you can effectively store your electric on the national grid as the meter will go backwards. The new smart meters don't.
Better companies can wire up without ducting/conduits down the side of the house!!!!
Ours it forcast to pay off in just under 7 years, tax free income of £1500 plus rpi for 25 years plus free elec, accounts for two/thirds of our useage
Get several quotes.....
so you need at least 7 maintainance free years...does anyone know if the unit panels are long lasting??
they are guarenteed for ten years
hmmm so you get 3 years without loss of sleep and the other 7 are to pay back the debt, after that keep those fingers crossed This could turn out like the other "best thing since white bread" senerio the good ole condensing boiler
Don't forget the cost of changing the inverter every 7-10years
So whats to be lost? nothing, a free gamble with nothing to lose and everything to gain!
........as said if you got the cash then its well worth it
So whats to be lost? nothing, a free gamble with nothing to lose and everything to gain!
Ours it forcast to pay off in just under 7 years
The word you used was forecast:
Theoretical figures based on a best case scenario. If the figures are less and the panels go tits up just past ten years of age, you may well have only just broken even, if that.
i just want a lister cold start and plenty of free veg oil to run it on forget the sv pannels
650 rpm water cooled not too much noise
oh well i dont have one. yet anyway
spent many hours with a packet of fags and cups of hot coffee just watching my lister thumping away...one of only a few things ive ever regretted selling
get another one then
