The on/off part no longer works but the speed control still does. The owner would like it to be replaced with a similar switch. It was made by NSF many years ago and they can't supply a replacement. There description of it is 'This is a mains switch , likely attached to a control potentiometer'. It's rated at 1A. the gear wheel will come off and the shaft is probably 1/4" or thereabouts, maybe 6mm.
