I’m building one too have a look for brat style it’s moved on from dropped bars off cafe racers
My buddy had a A10 nice bike but most of his troubles were with the magnito.I have the makings of a triton, you know norton frame and trumpet engine. I will build it when i have finished the BSA A10 i have. Cafe racers are nice and have a huge history in the UK and Ireland too.

Wasn't really a fan of them until I seen a nice one in a movie....Honda CL350 Cafe Racer
10 points if you can guess the movie I saw it in without googling

Which one. Assume the new one.Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I have always liked scramblers: though the term makes me think of the Matchless G80 CS, a Grumph or Jeff Smith on his BSA Goldstar. Fantastic looking bikes, pity the 2 Matchless's I have are too original to convert, though I do have a set of scrambler cams....and enough parts to build another engine.
About the Commando, yes mine is the only one of all my bikes I'd buy back as well. Bought for £400.. sold it for £600Dunno how many bikes I've had, so many I've lost count! From a '67 Bonnie cafe racer I built in '73 through other Brit specials, Guzzis (4 I think), sundry Hondas, Suzukis, a Kwak 1000, then Gixxers, a Hinckley Scrambler (hated it), to a GS1150 BM and my current XR1200 Harley.
My favourite? '72 Commando 750, I'd buy it back in a heartbeat, and given the value of the XR here in Portugal, and my increasing desire for a lighter bike, I just might swap. So many improved and original parts are available now for Commandos it'd be a feasible choice as a daily bike.
A man (an ageing man with arthritic wrists who's probably getting shorter) can dream....
